Streamside provides an experienced "Host" to each retreat group to assist you during your stay.

Available Dates

For information regarding available dates, please call or write the conference Center. Reservations will be accepted up to 12 months before the planned outing. Current retreat groups are generally given the first option to renew.

Rates

Sample rates below are per person for a 2 night, 5 meal conference. A snack is generally provided the first night. The group size is calculated by the number of people paying full adult rate, including the speaker. For groups desiring a different length stay, rates will gladly be supplied according to their request. These per person rates are effective from August 1, 2006 through August 1, 2007.

Private rooms may be reserved at an additional charge of $15.00 per night for each room used. This charge also applies to dormitory rooms when occupancy of less than 70% is requested. One private room for the speaker is provided FREE. Streamside reserves the right to assign meeting areas and living accommodations.

Insurance

Although Streamside does carry supplemental accidental insurance, we strongly suggest that each group or individual provide their own primary insurance policy. Furthermore, in signing the reservation contract each group and all its members agree not to hold Streamside (including its employees and officers) liable for any accidental injuries incurred at Streamside.

Travel Directions

Streamside is located in the beautiful Pocono Mountains of PA. about 10 miles NW of Stroudsburg between Reeders and Tannersville. Travel Directions will be sent to all registered groups before arrival. Approximate travel times are as follows:

Start your “retreat” earlier by letting us take care of your transportation. We can arrange affordable transportation in video-equipped Coach busses as part of your retreat package.

Your Conference Program

Most groups plan their program and arrange their own speakers. Our desire is that the Lord is honored and the purpose of Streamside be upheld. Those reserving a weekend will receive a packet of helpful information for planning a retreat including a listing of nearby activities.

Supervision Standards

All groups high school age and younger MUST have at least one responsible counselor for each cabin group. This is a MINIMUM standard and in most situations it is probably advisable to have more staff. Adult groups are expected to have responsible leadership within their groups so that the standards and purposes of Streamside are upheld. Each group is responsible for any breakage or damage other than that considered normal wear and tear of the facilities.

Group Living Standards

In order to maintain both a Christian testimony in our community and to accomplish the purpose adopted, guests are requested to adhere to the following:

1. The highest standards of moral conduct are to be maintained.
2. Guests are to be in their cabins from midnight until 6:00 AM.
3. There is to be no smoking, drinking, card playing, or conduct unbecoming to the Christian on the grounds.
4. It is requested that radios and other audio equipment NOT be brought to camp unless their use is directly related to the program of the sponsoring group.
5. Men are not permitted in the assigned women's areas and woman are not permitted in the assigned men's areas.

Feel free to contact the Director with any questions regarding any of these standards. It is the responsibility of group leaders to make sure that all guests understand these standards and abide by them.

Linens & Bedding

Guests generally furnish their own linens, however, pillows, pillowcases, blankets, sheets, towels and washcloths are available for a nominal rental fee of $1.00 per piece on a first-com first-serve basis. These can be reserved for your group in advance. Let us know how we can help.

Meals

Meals are served buffet style in the Nathan White Dining Hall. Streamside has earned a fine reputation for both the quality and quantity of its delicious food. We make every effort to serve meals promptly at the times listed below. It is only with your help that we are able to serve you piping hot food.
